Event Summary

Name: Gator Chess Club Classic
Desc: Format
The Gator Chess Club Classic is a three-section, two-day, USCF-rated, five-round tournament. Rounds 1 & 2 are G/60;+10. Rounds 3–5 are G/90;+15. Open to University of Florida students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the general public.

The top-scoring University of Florida student, faculty member, or staff member in the Open Section will earn the title of Gator Chess Club Classic Champion.

Entry Fee

$100 through 10/17
$125 after 10/17
$150 onsite after 10/24 at 9:00 AM

IM, and GM receive free entry with a $100 prize deduction (contact us by email if you qualify).

$50 entry for scholastic players.

Currently enrolled college/university students receive a $25 discount. Register using a valid ufl.edu email address to qualify.

Playing Up
Players may play up one section for an additional $50 if they are within 50 USCF rating points of the higher section's minimum rating.

*Unrated prize limit: $200.
