US CHESS MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED: Use the search by name or 8-digit member ID#. Expired memberships can be renewed during this registration process or directly through USChess.Org. Youth memberships are $25/year, in addition to the entry fee. ******************************************************************* 2. PAYMENT COMPLETION: Chessregister will allow you to submit player information first and skip the payment process. It will send a registration confirmation email even if payment has not been received. Many registrants miss the small PAY NOW button after entering player information or in the confirmation email. Chessregister will flag every unpaid registration as INCOMPLETE. All incomplete registrations will be deleted within 24 hours of creation. Please check the Event Listing via the people icon (little blue man by the registration link) to verify that your player appears. If you do not see the player listed, payment is incomplete. Use the confirmation email to return to the registration and complete payment. Payment may be made via PayPal or by credit card without using PayPal; please look carefully for the appropriate payment buttons. ************************************************************** **NINE SECTIONS. Read carefully to avoid demographic change fee: *** FIVE Championship sections feature the best/strongest players in their grade blocks: K-1 (only K & first), K-3 , K-5, K-8 & K-12 Championship sections will be the respective Florida Champion with national recognition for US Chess tournament of State Champions (for K-5, Middle, and High schoolers). **FOUR Undersections block higher rated players and keeps games competitive. K-3 U/600 , K-5 U/700 , K-8 U/1000 & K-12 U/1100 ************************************************************** Time control: Saturday G/60;d5 (all three rounds) / Sunday G/90;d5 except for K-1 (Stays G/60;d5) - 5 ROUNDS Main event: Saturday All Section Round Start Times: 9:15am, 12:15pm, 2:30pm Sunday: K-1 Section: 9:15am, 12:00pm; All Other Sections: 9:15am, 1:15pm Side Events: Friday 7:15pm Bughouse / Saturday 7:00pm Blitz online registration on chessregistrer.com with tournament details. ************************************************************** SUNDAY Awards ceremonies: 2:35p K-1 4:30p All other sections (tentative) ************************************************************** $50 Entry fee until midnight 11/30/26, then $100 until midnight 1/01/27, then $150 after, for Title I Students $20 less, email organizer before entry for code. Registration will close early in the event we register 550 players as that is the maximum capacity of the playing site. We will keep a waitlist if we reach capacity, send an email to organizer to be placed on the waitlist. *No Onsite Entry* Demographic changes (Section Change Requests, Bye Change Requests, School/Name Change Requests) $20 fee after 1/10. ************************************************************** Prizes: Trophies for the Top 10 Individuals and Top 5 Schools in each Championship Section. Undersections: Trophies for the Top 5 Individuals and Top 3 Teams. Teams must consist of at least 3 players.
