Rated: USCF Rated Tournament (US Chess membership required.)
Amenities: Food Provided (Two slices of pizza, chips, and a drink)
Cost: $45
Schedule: Please arrive by 9:00 AM - Round 1 starts at 9:30 AM. Tournament ends by 4:00 PM.
Please Arrive on Time: Late arrivals may not be paired for Round 1.
Registration & Strict Policies:
• NO SAME DAY REGISTRATION: All entries must be completed online in advance. No walk-ins under any circumstances.
• NO EXCEPTIONS: Refunds will NOT be issued after the registration deadline.
• SPECTATOR POLICY: To ensure the integrity of the tournament and player focus, parents will NOT be allowed to enter the tournament playing area unless their child is actively registered and sitting at a board. Once rounds begin, the playing area is restricted to players and Tournament Directors only.
Awards & Prizes:
• Individual Awards: Trophies for places 1-3 and Medals for places 4-5 in each section.
• Team Awards: Trophies for the top 3 Teams (places 1-3).
• Team Requirements & Scoring: A minimum of 4 players from the same school is required to form a team. In alignment with standard local scholastic regulations, team standings will be calculated by adding together the top 4 individual scores from each school's roster within that section.
• REFUND DEADLINE: Refunds will NOT be issued after the registration deadline on August 16th at 8:00 PM.
• TOUCH-MOVE RULE: USCF touch-move rules apply strictly to all sections. If a player touches a piece, they must move it if it has a legal move. If they touch an opponent's piece, they must capture it if legal.
Boards and clocks will be provided. Please also bring your own if possible.
