Format
The Gator Chess Club Championship is a three section, USCF rated 5-round tournament, played in G/25;+5. Open to University of Florida students, faculty, staff, and alumni as well as the general public!

Top scoring University of Florida student, faculty, or staff in the Open Section will earn the title of Gator Chess Club Champion.

Schedule: 10am - 11:30am - 1:30pm - 3pm - 4:30pm

Time Control: Game in 25 minutes with a 5 second increment per move (G/25; +5)

Entry Fee: $35 on or before 9/12, $45 after, $50 onsite after 9/19 9AM. Free entry for USCF 2200+ with $35 prize deduction (contact us by email if you qualify).

*Flat rate $25 Scholastic Entry Fee (please provide DOB with registration details)

Prizes ($2,000 based on 100 players):
 Open Section: $350 (gtd.) - $200 - $150 - $100
 U1800 Section: $250 - $150 - $75
 - U1600: $150 - $100
 U1200 Section: $125 - $100 - $50
 - U700/Top Unrated: $100
 - Top Scholastic (K-12): $100

*Unrated prize limit of $100 except in Open Section.

Unrated Playing Up Fee: $35 for any unrated player wishing to play in the Open section. No fee for other sections

Byes: 2 half point byes available, request before the beginning of Round 3.
